PAINTED FANTASY MINIATURES

Halflings sculpted by Mark Copplestone, Copplestone Castings. The four sword-wielding adventurers are from his recently disscontinued 28mm fantasy range. The archers are all his old Grenadier sclupts, now offered by Mirliton. The three archers in hats are conversions. I used Kneadatite putty to sculpt the hats. I am nearly finished building a hobbit rmy to play GamesWorkshop’s Lord of the Rings game. Instead of using GW’s official line of models I am collecting various 28mm scale minis.

I bought this big guy from Mega Miniatures. Unfortunately, I think it is now out of production. He is mounted on a 60mm wide plastic base. This basing allows the model to be played as a Mordor Troll if using GamesWorkshop’s Lord of the Rings rules.

Goblin Archers by Vendel Miniatures, 28mm. Vendel Miniature is the best source for Tolkein-inspired 28mm scale models. The armor and equipment seems quite realistic and plausible, as opposed to more common over-the-top fantasy miniatures out there.
